RUD ROV-HOOK shortlisted for ‘Excellence in Product Innovation’ LEEA Awards
RUD are proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist for their innovative ROV-HOOK in the ‘Excellence in Product Innovation’ category at the LEEA Awards 2024.
The impressive RUD ROV-HOOK has been a big hit in subsea lifting, being preferred by marine professionals to turn and position loads underwater safely.
Designed for the market - by the market - the RUD ROV-HOOK was developed with Subsea 7 to tackle two major safety issues seen across the industry. These safety issues were shedding and snagging of loads, which are both major operational safety risks when working in deep waters.
The impressive RUD ROV-HOOK features a twin trigger mechanism, which has become the key to solving the major issues of snagging and shedding. Accidental opening of the hook and loss of load is now impossible due to its innovative twin trigger design. The hook will only open when both locking mechanisms are pressed simultaneously, meaning it eliminates shedding and snagging of loads. This is a huge breakthrough in subsea lifting.
It offers a safety factor of 4:1, is 100% crack tested and can withstand a dynamic loading of more than 20,000 load cycles, according to European Standard EN 1677.
The RUD ROV-HOOK offers a safe, versatile, and robust hook for subsea use. The hook is currently available in 10 & 25 tonne working load limit capacity hook.
