Interview on Tugboat Polmear
Jenkins Marine provided the use of their tugboat Polmear as the BBC’s interview platform for the news piece, done to make people aware of the new eco-anchor solution being deployed within Studland Bay in Dorset.
Polmear was perfectly suited for the support, given her spacious bridge area and clear aft deck. This provided a large stable platform accommodating the required camera shots with ease.
Jenkins Marine mobilised from their yard and made its way to Studland where the interview and filming was carried out and then returned back to Poole Harbour.
In August 2021, The Seahorse Trust with its partners at Boatfolk boating and marina services, installed 10 Eco-moorings as the start of an ambitious project to take pressure off this highly sensitive site, which is home to seagrass and seahorses.
As a local marine business Jenkins Marine are proud to support the local eco-mooring solution to ensure the protection of the seahorses and their habitat.
